Header Leak HELP

Hey guys, just need some advice. I have a set of BBK headers that are leaking terribly at the heads. When I originally did my header install I ended up having to use paper gaskets and they didn't take long to fail in a couple of major places. I bought a set or Mr. Gasket copper gaskets and installed them today and it seems like they don't fit or aren't seated properly. It seems like every cylinder is leaking slightly whereas with the paper gaskets I had a couple very pronounced leaks. I went back and made sure all of the bolts were torqued right and that the Y-Pipe was seated well and everything checked out fine. Any of you guys have this same experience? How did you fix it?

take them off and look for black spots theres where your leaks are. i used ultracopper on mine and no leaks at all. just don't go crazy with it and keep in on the gaskets you dont want to silicone to jack up your o2's

Did you make sure the surface of the head was clean before putting on the new gasket and re-installing the header?

check ebay. I have tried lots of different header gaskets... the percy's aluminum, hookers, the paper ones, no gasket at all...

by far the best ones were the cheap ebay ones I got. and they were half the price of the percy's too....

copper gaskets + breslin bolts = never worry about a blown header gasket again. period

The gasket set i purchased on Ebay are a different size opening than the Mid Pacesetters. The embossed gasket part would be almost inside the header opening so that would not seal but instead just sit there useless and not do what it should and only give me 1/16 of an inch in a few spots of seal. The opening on the copper gasket that came with the kit are 3/8" taller and fit perfect. I am sure there are tons of leaky gaskets out there with this problem. I am glad i checked first and sure hope others check the fitment before installing theres.

Ouch, those things better be made of gold, not stainless steel.

I'm still trying to figure out what justifies them costing nearly double what the competitors are asking.
Edit: I'm looking at the website, it is an Australian based company, maybe that is the reason?

Where did you hear this? My engine builder says that is not true and they can still order from them without any problems.. what was the reason they "apparently" went out of business? The website also is running and there is no mention of this.

Thanks
