Shortys/Mids Vs. Longtubes

I am thinking about going w/ shorty/mids because of my budget and I don't want to deal w/ the ground clearance issues of the longtubes. How bad is the clearance? And will after market shorty's bolt right up to the stock ypipe?

Are mids my best option?

At stock ride height, I haven't had any issues with my Pacesetter long tubes and ground clearance.

I already have no cats or AIR so emmissions doesnt matter. But if I sell the car I would rather like to tell people that it is emissions capable, or get it back to emissions capable w/ just a tune and a cat not having to change the header.

Mids are a good compromise, thats what i went with after doing a lot of searching. My SLP mids dont hang any lower then the stock exhaust and i dont have any problems. All longtubes hang lower then the stock exhaust and weather or not that creates problems depends on the ride height and your roads.
