I'm not looking forward to this install, but it needs to be done. Will I notice any different in the sound? And last, what kind of tuning will I need to have done?
So you are also going to install Hooker LTs with an ORY pipe? If so, you can't install the rear 02 sensors in the y-pipe simply because A) the y-pipe does not have cats B) there are no 02 bungs to thread the sensors into. I bought my 02 sims from Thunder Racing for ninety bucks. They run about the same anywhere you go.

The headers and y-pipe I'm looking at have the o2 bungs in the y-pipe. I'm going to have the rear o2's tuned out. Do you think I will have a problem with the o2's being in the ORY? I'm going to do the wires and plugs at the same time, prolly the cap and rotor too. Anyone having good luck with the msd stuff?

What would be the point in having 02 sensors in the off-road y-pipe? Afterall, those sensors are there to monitor the efficiency of the catalytic converters. If no catalytic converters are present, an SES light is going to come on right away. Are you sure that you aren't thinking of the headers themselves, because those will have 02 bungs. But every off-road y-pipe I have seen doesn't have them.

The headers do not have o2 bungs in them, for some reason this person had the o2 bungs welded in the y-pipe. I have not bought the headers & ory, should I not buy them because of this or do you think it will not be a problem?

Do you know what brand they are? Personally, I would stay away from them and look for another set.

2000GTP, my mufflex Y-Pipe has two bungs for the rear o2 sensors but since my car is a '95 and only has 2 o2 sensors I just plugged up the bungs.
