Going a different route
As much as I hate to get rid of my x pipe, I think I'm going to. My dad and I built the true duals for my car and they worked perfectly for about 5 months and then started rattling, leaking and I've just had it. I want to go with a traditional y pipe/cat back simple bolt-on exhaust. I was looking at the Pacesetter Y pipe but I'm afraid the slip-fit connection wont work anymore since I had my x pipe welded to my header collectors(big mistake). So, I ordered 3 bolt collector flanges that I'm going to weld to my headers so I can have a good bolt on, leak-proof connection. What I'm planning to do is buy a y pipe and weld some flanges so I can bolt it up to my headers. Do you guys see any problems with this that im not seeing?
Is the pacesetter Y pipe the cheapest one out there? I think its like $130, not a whole lot but money is tight.

so i got my collector rings and welded them on my headers the other day I got my pacesetter y pipe and now I need to know how far the y pipe usually slips onto the headers. is it just as far as the notches go? or does it slip in further?. I need to know to be able to cut the y pipe and weld the collector rings onto it or else the y pipe will be either too far back or too close and that can affect the position of the rest of the cat back.
Thanks in advance.
