General Question - why you would do this?

I've seen some turbo imports that have header wrap down their ENTIRE system all the way to the muffler. why the heck would you do something like that?

They probably think it helps prevent heat soak and helps exhaust scavenging. Although all it really does is accelerate rust.

Primary purpose is to keep the engine compartment cool. Secondary purpose is to keep the heat in the exhaust on the way to the turbo. The hotter it is, the greater the volume and the higher it spins the turbo. Unfortunately, as already noted above, keeping the heat in the steel pipes can cause it to oxidize and crack. Full wraps are generally only used in racing engine, where a tiny HP gain can be important. For a street car, degradation of the pipes is a more significant issue.

Maybe it's the same reason they put "Powered by Honda" and vtech stickers on their cars.

The only thing I could think of is either heat soak in the cabin area, or sound deadening? no worries about energy loss once you get past the turbo-
