exhaust setup for a Procharged 383 with TFS/ported LT1

I'm in the final stages of getting all the parts together for my 383/TFS/F1 buildup and I'm getting ready to order parts for the exhaust.

I placed an order today for a set of Hawk's 1-3/4" stainless longtube headers with 3" collectors. I'm thinking about running 3" stainless "test" pipes into a 4" y-merge, into a Mufflex 4" cat-back with a Spintech muffler. I say "test" pipes because I'm going to make a couple of bolt-in pipes that I can remove should I ever need to put cats on the car or feel the need to install dual 3" cutouts.

I can get the headers with 2-1/2" or 3" collectors and thought about doing the smaller ones with 2.5" pipes into a single 4", but I'm not sure if that would cause me to leave anything on the table. just afraid 3" pipes from the headers will be too big.

I should be in the neighborhood of 700rwhp.

Thoughts/suggestions?

I have Hooker LTs, into a Mufflex Y pipe with 3" pipes and 4" collector. Then it necks down to 3.5" to go into a Mufflex 3.5" system with a Magnaflow 12909 straight through muffler.

Go with the 3" pipes. However, I think the Spintech muffler will be restrictive. You'd be better off with a "straight-through" style muffler.

haha...you must be joking right??

3" collectors on bolt on only engines are not "too big"...so why would they be on a 700hp car?

do the 3" into 4" and you'll be just fine
