EGR block off plate-- tune computer

I have a 1994 z28 and i threw a set of pacesetters with emissions on it... basically i hooked everything up and got all excited and for got to hook up my egr tube....anywho, I wanted to take it down the road and it runs awesome! (other than the massive leak out of the tube on the header) so can i just get a block off plate and call it quits, because it seems to run good now

.. Why don't you just hook up the EGR tube?? Didn't you ask this question in another room, or was that a similar Q from a different poster? www.ls1speed.com sells block off plates. You should retune after headers anyway. My gas mileage was GREAT after and I picked up 34hp!

Anyway.. If you delete the EGR all together, you should get it tuned to delete the EGR Spark tables from the computer. I deleted the AIR, EGR and Cats, now my gas mileage SUCKS! I'm in desperate need of a retune! -Was going to wait for h/c swap for that so I don't pay $250 twice..

I havent posted up anything like this... I just put the headers on yesterday... anyways, what i was saying was that i dont have any probs with it other than exhaust escaping through the egr hook up. I runs really good... btw we have the same idea on tuning. I have a cc503 and other goodies but im waiting until i pull the winter beater out

Don't drive it with the EGR tube disconnected. That admits air too close to the exhaust valve.
