couple of true duals questions

I am still unclear about a couple of things concerning a td stup. Im planning on getting an 01 ss, and want to do Lt's, X pipe, flow 40 series, over axle, out the rear. i am worried about a couple of things. First, what should I do about the rear 02 sensor? tune it out, and cut it off, or make provisions on the X pipe for it? Also, you think it would sound better w/ this setup, or a gmmg catback, w/ lt's? Also, considering labor charges, and materials, do you think gmmg no tips, or this setup would be cheaper? where can I get an X pipe that will slip fit the ls1 Lt headers? And finally, could I get 2.5 in piping, both of the pipes going over the axle in the same location as a catback would, w/o panhard relo. kit? Thanks

unless you're planning on running some cats...than the rear o2 sensors are pointless. you may as well just tune them out or get the simulators.

TDs are a great sound, granted so is the GMMG. i think i'd still chose the TDs.

TDs out the back is pricey...but i think you can still get it in for under the cost of the GMMG

the issue with most LS1 LT headers is that the driver side collector angles out, which makes it hard to "slip-fit" a universal Xpipe setup. you'll have to have a small bend built into that side. but any of the universal Xpipe kits should work fine with a little work. jegs or summit now have some DIY true dual kits that should give you the bends you need to get over the axle.

as for the 2.5" over the stock routing....should fit but its gonna be tight. i think i would just dump it.
by the way...how are you planning on running 40 series mufflers before the axle and then have them go over one side?? you'd have to run a pipe under the driveshaft and torque arm.
only way to have enough room to run side by side over one side of the axle is to have the mufflers after the axle....or maybe squeeze in bullets before the axle. but standard mufflers are too big

I was planning on both pipes to one side, and mufflers after.has anyone ever tried the slp loudmouth kit, and put a straight pipe where the res. is, and on the 2 outlets, after the y bend, cut them, and put some flowmaster 40s, and then a short tip. Kind of like the new mustang style.

I have had a TON of setups on my car. The absolute best sounding ever was an h pipe with 40s dumped.

Now I have over the axle with sweetthunders under the gas tank. Honestly I think it flows about the same, and while it sounds good the 40s sounded better.
