Taking off exhaust in one peice, possible?

Has anyone taken off thier exhaust in one peice? I know it can be done because someone gave me a complete muffler and pipe together. I have a loud mouth on now which I am taking off, but, I want to put the stock back in. Like I said, i know it can be done, but, I just need some bonafied tips, thanks.

If you had the car on an automotive lift you could wiggle it out.

Not a problem, but, do you have to take the panhard(?) bolts out?
