A Couple tips and tricks for Pace Setter LT install

Hey guys!

I just got a set of Pace setter LT's a couple weeks ago for 140 bucks (i know,a steal right) and just got them installed and welded up to the new exhaust with a 3 inch magnaflow cat and new flowmaster muffler. Now, for some silly reason, I wanted all of my emissions equipment to work. The Pace Setter Headers I got have a wierd fitting where the original smog pipe fits on. I went to a couple parts stores and found nothing. I went to home depot and browsing through the water heater fittings and found the perfect one. It is a

5/8NPT x 1/2 N.I.P.

It cost me 3.95 each and my smog tubes bolted right on them and they bolted straight into the header. Next were the oxygen sensors. Mine were getting pretty worn out and were not giving the right signals so I went to Autozone. Browsing through the computer, I was hoping to find a "buyer preferred" length cable oxygen sensor but no luck. Then i found the universal. It has a 24" cable versus the 12" and the connectors to splice the old connector onto the sensor. They are 70 dollars a piece and if you need new sensors anyway, its a way better deal than spending 30 bucks shipped each for new extenders. The part number is 15732 and its a Bosch Sensor.

Hope this helps Someone.

Chris

If they're $70 each... that's almost $20 each time you change your o2's (which probably isn't much but I'd rather spend $30 each for new extenders for universality.)

The specific sensors are also 70 dollars though. You are just paying the same amount for the longer harness.

I've never paid over $59 for a o2 sensor.
