I have a 3' exhaust that i want to clamp to a 3' collector... do I have to open the 3' exhaust to say 3.5' so that the collector can slip into it then i can clamp them down or can i just put the exhaust up tot he collector and throw the clamp over the 2? im pretty sure im gonna have to widen the exhaust pipe but im just wondering

 

u COULD do it with butt-joint band clamps, would i recommend it? No, get the exhaust widened to like 3.25" so it can slide over and than get a lap-joint band clamp

My Magnaflow i-pipe was slightly over 3", just enough to fit over the Pacesetter ORY pipe. I then used a band clamp to fasten them together. Not sure what system you are working with, but maybe your i-pipe is already oversized as well.

 

yea im gonna check... I hope that is the case .... its a custom made x-pipe
