borla question
borla question
i am getting ready to do my much anticipated long tube install and i am going to have a muffler shop do an exhaust when im done i want a 3in single with a turndown at the rear axle. so i am wondering what muffler i should choose i guess i need a pretty small muffler for clearance i realy want a borla i could do a magnaflow or something like that though. so what would you guys recommed? thanks
Why single dump before the axle... Get an X pipe dumped... Sweet Thunders I hear sound great! Look into the Spintech mufflers. Not a lot of people use them but they do sound good! My buddy had a Spintech CB on his 35th SS. GREAT Classic Muscle car sound at cruise!
well i dont realy want to do x pipe and duals because its lowered and i figured that it would kill my clearance. and secondly i forgot to specify what engine i have sorry about that i have an lt1. heres what i am am realy looking for http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...0e3c3ba7fb.htm
If you're worried about ground clearance just go with a Borla cat-back system, or Magnaflow cat back...The Magnaflow is also stainless and cheaper than the Borla...The nice thing about the Borla is adjustability with the plates, but run wide open its a bit raspy with an LT1...If you're set on a custom single 3" dumped I'd go with the Edelbrock SDT 304s...Thats what I have on my true dual set up now...They flow great, aren't too loud and are only 3 5/8" thick...here's my set up...scroll down the thread for pix...
