Blew the guts out of my Dynomax bullet muffler

I have this Dynomax muffler installed in place of my catalytic converter:

The guts of the muffler have fallen apart, I can hear stuff rattling. I want a straight through flow muffler for minimal back pressure and to remove the raspy sound. The bullet did this well but I dont want another since this one did not last long. Whatever muffler I use must be ~16" or so.

Here are some options:

Or I can just make a 3" test pipe and be done with it.

Anybody have any other creative ideas for installing a free flow muffler in place of the cat?

the moroso spiral flows sound pretty good.

but i'm on true duals.

and another thing, the spiral flows are not a straight through muffler, they have about a 1.5 inch tube running through them that you can see through, but around it is that spiral shaped baffling

ilooking at them in person, it looked like they might cause some backpressure, but not more than a high flow cat i guess.

Well I just called Dynomax and they claimed that this is going to happen cause of how close the bullet is to the engine. They claim the temps are too high so it looks like I will make a "test pipe".

Can anyone tell me where I can get 18" of 3" exhaust pipe for a fair price?

Ya, you burned them out. Get pro-flow twisters, moroso spiralflows or run some cats. Highflow cats only cost a couple of HP anyway so why not run them and help keep the EPA from getting all **** in your area.?

I intend to run the CC once the vehicle is tuned and switch to the "test pipe" when going to the track. Right now it get real funky when driving around.
