How much are you looking to spend? Kooks are nice, and I had mine coated. I can't really compare the plug access to other headers as the Kooks are the only set I've had, but I've read that it's very good.

i had hookers and i didnt think they were too terrible. You get what you pay for though, so im sure the kooks are much nicer.

I would say the plug access was pretty good, but I have no idea how it compares to other headers. I've just heard that Kooks have good plug access. There were a couple where the SLP spark plug socket would come in handy. Where necessary, we just used a deep well socket and vice grips.

ss is nice, no rust if its quality SS but if your gonna wrap your LT's with header wrap then there is no point cause your not gonna see the SS,

I didn't get my Kooks coated. I called up Kooks and the guy i talked to said it's not really needed with stainless. Never had a problem with underhood temps. And plug access is very good, especially with an SLP plug socket. The only one that is kind of tight is #6, and that's because the dipstick is in the way.

If you get a coated, non-stainless header, they are going to rust eventually. The primary benefit of the ceramic coating is that, when applied to the inside and outside of the header, it keeps the heat in the header, which increases exhaust gas velocity & scavenging. It will probably slow the onset of corrosion in a non-stainless header, but it's not going to prevent it entirely. If you don't want rust, you have to go stainless.

If the headers aren't stainless, they will eventually rust, coated or not.
