What can I use to block off the Air tubes on my pacesetter mid tube headers ?

 

On what year car/engine?

'Signature' ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

 

get the tubes that originally went to your exhaust manifolds. get ahold of the flange that went directly to the exhaust manifold. cut the tube off. get your hands on a welder, and weld the hole shut.

Those are OK for 99% of the 95's. The dual-cat "CA emissions" A4 cars have the smaller threads used on the 96/97 cars. Check before you buy.

 

You can make them yourself from sheetmetal, and gasket material...Done it 3 or so times for some lads down here

 

How do plug a 3/4" deep female threaded hole with sheet metal? I can see how that would work for the EGR holes, but its difficult to picture it on the AIR connections.

Your 93 is different than all other years. The AIR for the passenger side manifold is integrated with the EGR system. That's not the case for 94-97, where AIR and EGR are two seperate ystems, and require different blanking plates for the EGR and plugs for the AIR,
