About to order headers.

I have a 95 Z28 M6...I am kinda stuck on my decision on whether to go with mac long tube or pacesetter long tube. I'm also running cme exhaust, do i need a y pipe as well?

What kind of emissions regulations do you have to contend with? Is your car at stock ride height? Your gains will be good either route you go, but you'll need a different y-pipe.

The Pacesetters do tuck up nicely, with a 1" drop, you'll probably still be okay assuming you mind your surroundings.

what about sound and power wise?
I heard mac headers sound really good and pacesetter are the best bag for the buck.

Power wise you'll see some very good gains.

Either way, gains between the two are negligible really.

I would do a search on headers, particularly pacesetters before buying them. That's what I did and why I ended up leaning away from them.

^ You don't know how hard i have been searching. I'm getting different answers from all over, some are saying pacesetter are good headers and some are saying mac headers are awesome as well. Also been told that pacesetter are the best bang for the buck. Majority of the people have pacesetter and atleast 80% of them seem to be happy with them.

Main issues with these two brands is: flange thickness, flow paths, coatings, plug access, weld quality, and most of all price. I'm waiting for my kooks to be delivered
That might help a bit.

I should have clarified, you'll see good gains with either the mids or LTs. As for the Pacesetters, it is a hit or miss it seems. From what I have gathered lately, their quality seems better. I bought my header set about three years ago and I had some fitment issues and the coating began to rust in less then a years time.
