95 Camaro z28 muffler

My stock muffler has a dent in it and is rusted almost entirely, what is the best replacement? I'm looking for a little louder muffler.

Just get a complete 3" catback. That's what will make more HP, not just more noise like changing the muffler.

I agree, I'm saving up for a nice new complete setup from headers to true duals.

However, if money is an issue and you want something that just sounds better, I'd suggest a Flowtech Afterburner for an inexpensive yet nice-sounding replacement for the stock muffler. I picked one up for about $40 and had it installed for about $100 (a little high due to a cracked exhaust pipe that had to be replaced). It's not gonna give you a power increase you can feel but it sounds nice, doesn't backfire and doesn't sounds tinny or anything like that. Nice throaty growl, yet quiet when on the highway at 2200 rpm.

Again if you can save up and have a full system installed, I'd go with Injuneer's advice.

Some people may flame my muffler, but it sounds awesome lol. Listen to some sound clips on the internet too, if you want examples of what different mufflers and exhaust systems sound like.

Re: 95 Camaro z28 muffler

Yeah the best option is to replace the stock system with a full cat-back system, but if a full system isn't a option right now then a Flowmaster Super44 #9430462 (about $80) or the Super 40 delta #9530462 (about$90) would flow better than stock and sound great, another option is the Hooker headers #21729 Aero-chamber (about $90).
