94-95 BBK headers Y pipe question

Will a factory Y pipe fight a set of 94-95 BBK shorty headers?

If so, what year Y pipe?

I highly doubt it, besides you are going to want to eliminate the crinkle bend setup of the factory y-pipe.

For the little added cost might as well do it right and worry about trying to combine parts that are going to give little results.

Most shorty headers are designed to be used with OEM parts, so I would think it should fit.
Is this for emissions testing, or did you damage your ORY-pipe?

Currently I am running a cheap shop made Y pipe that is crinkle bent and leaks at the header due to poor fitment.

I just want a nice seal and I also want to quiet my car down a good bit. I put a cat on the car and it didn't quiet it down enough to my liking. If I could buy a BBK Y pipe for this car then I would, but nobody sells them.

I went through the same thing with my Mac headers. Nobody sells just the Y pipe. Mac kept telling me they were on backorder. In May they said try back in August and in August they told me November so I just sold the headers and bought this bbk with shop made Y pipe.

Most of the LT1 single-cat shorties I've ever seen have a matching Y-pipe as part of the package.... not intended for use with the stock Y-pipe. I had the JBA's back in 1996 or so.

They do not have a number listed. I contacted several BBK vendors and they have all told me that they can not sell me just the Y pipe. It's typically a package only deal.

I don't know of a contact number, do you?
