93 z28 exhaust

In about a week i will be getting exhaust on my 93 z28 cant wait. I want that deep muscle car sound thats aggresive i want it to be heard inside and outside of the car. Im going with flowmasters for sure and so far im leaning to the 80 series and leaving the cats on. Do you think thats a good choice? Or take the cats off?

Thanks guys

If your looking for a loud system that turns heads flowmaster 80 series is a bad choice. Also flowmaster has a lot of interior drone at prolonged speeds. Depends on what you like and how much money you have but a stainless system is gonna cost more but you get what you pay for. There are lots of sights that you can hear differant exaust on our f bodys. Use the search function and you will have enough opinions and threads to read for hours

Mine dont scrape. I am using stock muffler location and the lowest point, just before the axle is about 5" or so.

Mine are in the sticky and in my sig.

With flowmasters you can keep your stock y-pipe system. And my opinion im a flowmasters guy always have been. If you go to flowmasters.com go to 80 series and they got a sound clip.

flowmasters have been proven to actually rob horsepower. and they are cheap quality that rusts right out, and they sound horrible. i would reccomend magnaflow or slp loudmouth

You can't lump all Flowmaster mufflers together. Different models flow differently. I've seen a 30-series Flow support 800 - 1,125HP on LT1's, and not gain any HP when the complete catback was removed, and replaced with Borla XR1's bolted to the collectors.
