3" Straight Pipes - LT1 Clip

Hey guys

This is just a clip to show how 3 inch straight pipes sound on an LT1, there are bullets on there as well, we just hacked this on for now because im so broke and cant afford the setup i want (big catback), its really really loud in real life, my friend floored it going by me and ive never heard anything like that in my life.

The pipes look a little goofy like that but it sounds pretty good. What kind of catback are you looking at getting, the Mufflex? You may not want a catback after having a taste of true duals.

yeah i guess they are goofy out the sides but we put alot of hard work into it, these cars are a bitch to do.

i was thinking a big mufflex Y into a big catback, i hear alot of good things about that, or i can just do the regular true duals, out the back.

i must say, when i mash it from the stop, the high end power is rediculous with this setup, although my car does skip alot because it needs an Opti.

Once I get the heads/cam done, I planned on upgrading my exhaust yet again. It has been a tossup between the Mufflex catback/ypipe and a true dual setup. Right now its leaning towards true duals as my friend just opened up a shop and he can cut me a good deal on the setup.

thats cool man, ive put so much money into this car and it still needs stuff like an opti and plugs, it skips pretty bad at high rpm when it downshifts, im not sure if i even want to put more money into it.

how quick is your car with the nitrous?

I haven't taken it to the track yet. My friend is opening a shop with his cousin though and he wants me to put it on their dyno. I might jet it with a 150 shot and see what happens.
