Paint Shop in Charlotte, NC Area

Anybody have any recommendations for a good paint shop in South Charlotte, South Carolina or Matthews area? I have to get my "nose " repainted again for the fourth time. Please do not recommend City Chevrolet because they will never paint my car again.

If anybody knows how to get a hold of Ryane, I wanted to find out who did her car and if she is still happy with it.

Thanks

Tim

How much is your budget, are you going to remove the pice yourself or not? I know a real good painter in the gastonia/lake wylie area but he isn't cheap. But his work is great.

I paid $500 to get it painted by City and they had to redo it twice after that for free. The clear coat never held up to daily driving after one year, but they refused to do it again. The first time, they missed clear coat on the edges and inner fender side of the nose. The second time, the color did not match. It turned out gold instead of pewter.

I will not be removing the nose and it has the SLP Bowtie grille in it.

I really want someone to paint it and put one of those new invisible bras on it because driving 485 everyday takes it's toll. Also, I may have some more work for them later when I can get a new hood and either stripes or ghost flames.

I've seen people having them done from anywhere around $250-$500 so I would think that any good body shop could do it for that price. Of course, no one likes color matching pewter just ask City.

Thanks

Hey Tim, I've got a friend that has been a paint and body man for a long time at local dealerships. He has gone into business for himself and is located over at S. Tryon and Billy Graham. Give him a call, he's very good. His name is Manny, 704-634-2683. Hope he can help you out.

Thanks all.

Chris - I'll give him a call when I get ready to do it. It's only right up the street from where I work so I may stop by and have him give me an estimate. I've been dumping way too much money into "go fast" and suspension goodies these days so the wallet is getting thin, but I need to get it back into show condition. So I figured I better get it painted and a new set of 17in wheels because my 10 spokes have had it.

You guys hanging out anywhere tonight? I actually got rid of the wife for the weekend.

Thanks again.

I just got my RS painted at Metrolina on US 21. Nice job, new hood, nose, and chin spoiler. Looks nice, you might want to try there.

I know of a great place to go to. Go down 51 toward south. You will go past the mall and you will go straight at the 51/south intersection. You will eventually go pass the SC-NC border, which will be next to a flea market. Keep going stright through all intersections until you HAVE to make a right or left. Make a left and you will see a paint shop in your right. they usually have old muscle cars out there for sale. they should do a good job at a good price. I had my 3rd gen priced by them and they are fair and from the paint jobs I have seen from them they are really good. If you have any questions about my directions just PM me or IM me on aim.. aim name is darkspawnz28

A friend of mine here in J-ville, his father does paint work in Gastonia. Unfortunately I only know his father's last name. It's Farmer; maybe you could try and locate him

Spawn's talking about Metrolina Collision. Artie drives a '69 Camaro and a '72 Chevelle SS 'Vert with a BB crate motor. They'll do good work.
