I was a black panther the first time there, and a devil the second. Maybe I can be a falcon this time so I can say I was in all 3 brigades lol

Heads up Performance does all his headwork. They are in Lumberton NC. Charles is awesome. My stock castings flowed 280 cfm when he was done with them. Between Bob and Charles; my stock bottom end 350 has made over 400RWHP. The 11.6 timeslips tell the tale

I don't remember who said to stay away from Dalton, and I forgot the reason. This was months ago. It was someone from S.C. on another board. Where exactly is the shop located? I would like to see it in person next week. I'll trust you guys *edit* Now that I think about it, the guy told me that Dalton didn't know jack about LS1's, that he kept getting things he was talking about mixed up with LT1's. I know that's the case with the shops around here in S.C. A place I went to told me my 226/226 .570/.570 cam would run like crap on a daily driver, way too big, ect. when it's common knowledge that it's actually pretty mild for an LS1, but not an LT1. A guy at another shop that deals with LT1's argued with me when I told him that stock internal LS1's running high 11's was common. He said maybe there was a freak or two. I told him to go look at the list on ls1tech.com. Over 20 on there with timeslips lol. I hope I don't hear the same kind of BS at Daltons. I'm no master mechanic, but I know my sht* on LS1's. I'll know within 5 minutes if I'm going to let them touch my car or not. Hey, anyone gonna be out this weekend?

If you want to go fast.. I'd get rid of the singlepattern cam IMO. We're making more power with "normal" split patterns... alot of that has to do with the fact that our exhaust/intake ratios arent a retarded high 80%+ like alot of these guys do.

You said something about a 6L block.. how much power are you trying to make? We've made well over 600hp NA on pumpgas ... but it depends on what you want .

Fayetteville.. hrm.. I havent been there in a long time IIRC.. dont even remember how far it is from Charlotte.

I was looking at split patterns, but I got a good deal on this cam I couldn't pass up. Guys are making serious power with single patterns (i.e. Tr 224) with a stock LS1 shortblock. Over 400hp with heads. I plan to build an iron block 408/409. I will go with a split pattern with that, especially since I plan to spray (250 wet). I'd like to make 475 on the motor, keep it real streetable.

Yeah, those seem like a good deal. But, I talked to the shop where my cam came from, they designed the grind. I decided to take their suggestion and buy the best heads for it. I am going to get GTP stage 2 heads ($2400!) that will be tweaked for my cam. It's been proven to me that guys with the same setup as I will have are running high 10's.
