i don't know if i'll bring my car the 19th . but i should be up too watch tho . my car wants to spin on the track and twist . if i can get some new tires i might bring it anyway . i anin't got nothin for josh . but i think i might come for the next race whenever it might be ready with two or three cars . my brotherinlaw has got a coupe were putting a 460 in . my coupe is on the way back together . and my 86 . it's got to get some bars in it ! but it works pretty good on the street with drag radials .

You still need to come up here Eric because you dont never know what might happen I could Blowup,Redlight,Get disqualified or a bunch of other things.So if you have a car that runs 6's or 5's you need to be here...How do you think I felt when I got toasted by that big orange pony in the finals that runs 5.80s??? I might have somthing for him this time though..I want revenge...You should too.... well Ill talk to you boys later...

whats up man . hows crossville ? i might be there . i like the track you guys are cool . i don't mind getting beat . but beat by car that don't get drove anywhere . except in and out of a trailer is b.s. . i thought this race got started from some street racing . thats why i came . because i've got a pretty fast street car and i'll run it on the street . like your chevy 2 a street car . have you run 5's yet ?my car is working pretty good on the street right now . but spins at the track . i'll think about coming up .

does anyone up there got any slicks for sale (28by9) or (28by10.5) ? my et streets are shot . i've been running my bfg's

Ill keep my eye out for some slicks but I dont know of any right now...Our board should let you on but ill look into why thier is this problem...I know what you mean about the trailered cars i feel the same way...I ran a 5.97 3 weekends ago but havnt been to the track since...I need to get some 10.5s under my car bad she might go some 5.80s...I would like to make it down thier to do a little street racing but I dont know when ill be able to make it with football season going and stuff.Id say ill make it down there in a couple of weeks maybe...I dont think Ill be doing any Nitrous street passes though ill stick to the motor on the street..I sprayed mine on the street last night and there was no hope for traction so I singled that one out...Any body down thier run in the 6.90 range on motor I could race???I guess if someone wanted too I would spray on the stree after i rolled out about 100 feet or so but no spraying it off the line...Thats what happen to the cutlass tha t raced jack..I dont want to end up like that.....

i know you play football . and your busy . so if you make it down it ain't no big deal . we didn't think you could spray it on the street . but i'd have it ready to use . because nobody likes to go motor to motor . maybe we could get you hooked up with shawns 68camaro . man glad your car run in the 5's . i don't see how with the little tires but more power to ya .

Lots of track bite is the only way my car went 5s...It still only had a 1.43 60' time though....It was a wild ride...I almost didnt stop at the end of the track and almost went into the creek....Maybe you can come up one friday night....Thiers usually a bunch of Nitrous cars come from all over...I hadnt been able to make in a while because of football but in about 11 weeks I might make it...Well Ill see ya Im going to school...........

 

Hey guys , Jim mentiond eariler on his website , If you come up fri night (the 18th) you can test N tune for free if your racing sat. in the mssra event ! My wife and kids will be out of town so any of you chatt town boys (Eric , slow , Brent B , etc. ) that want to come up then let me know , I should have plenty of room at my crib , just stay away from my Jose curvo !!!! We could go Terrorize Crossvegas !!!!

 

My cars are all still shot. They called and told me the Camaro was ready friday. That place is full of morons!!! They've had me the maddest I've been in a long time. Check this out...

I went by the dealership about 5pm on thursday to see if they had the tranny parts in. At 5pm they told me NO...the parts were not in yet. Then they called me friday afternoon at about 5:30pm and told me the car was ready. They rebuilt the transmission and fixed my rear end in less than 24 hours....sure...right...

I went to pick it up on saturday and as soon as I started it up the engine started making rattling and ticking noises that it had never made before I took it to them. I drove the car about three blocks and took it straight back to the dealer. As soon as I got it out on the street the rear end started popping, roaring, whining, and rattling. I drove it about three blocks and going in to third gear it feels like something is in the way. It hits when you smack it in gear and the entire tranny shifts around and makes noises. When I put it in fourth it is hard to get out...it feels like something is holding on the shifter...I had to put a little muscle on it to get it out.

If I sit with the clutch to the floor and take it in and out of third gear the car shakes just a little and you can hear all sorts of noises like the tranny is about to fall out of the car. Anyway...The service department was closed on saturday so I went back on monday to tell them they needed to fix the car.

I took the head guy for a ride in my car. I think his name was Joe. When it started ticking and rattling after I started it he told me that was normal engine noise. Then I let him hear all the popping that the rear end was making. When I pointed out the whining that begins about 40mph he told me that it is normal rear end whine and that the proper repair for a scored pinion bearing was to replace it and shim.

I don't see how any of the Chevy dealerships in this area stay in business or actually sell any more Chevy's. I have never seen so many rude and inept people gathered in one place. They refuse to work on anything or even look unless you bring the car in on a tow truck locked up. Then they are total *** holes about it. I had three different people ask me why I didn't return the rental car. They told me that GM would only pay for so many days!!! I was so mad I just stood there and didn't say anything because I would have been carted away in the paddy wagon.

BTW...I had my grandfather look up and print out the lemon law statutes in TN. I really just want my car fixed...But after all the hassles, headaches, hostile service, and screw overs...I'm not sure I want it anymore. What burns me up is that if I wanted to sell it today I have to tell them that this six month old car has a rebuilt transmission and a shimmed rear end...then try to explain to them that the rattles and ticking coming from under the hood are "normal" engine noise...and not to worry about that normal rear end whining, popping, rattling, and roaring.

damm chad whats up with the dealership ! sorry to hear you having so much trouble . it should't make noises like that . you need to go strait to the main guy there and take him for a ride .see what he thinks . then tell he how bad this looks and your going to call the better business bureau . or one of the tv stations in town .
