sat. night we had a decent turnout. about thirteen to fifteen cars showed up. probably about ten were f-bodies. nice to meet everyone. no races really went down in chatt.. although i am supposed to run the mid 80's gta this next sat. night. went to cleve. late ,about 1:30 am . saw a few .the teal z28 ran a dfi black cobra and despite a three car jump by the cobra ,mannaged to roll on him a good five cars. the guys from trenton saw alot of action before i got their. and on the way home almost got busted by the cop that followed everyone on to the freeway. did get to run the two black t/a's from trenton. we went three wide. pretty fun. so who all won in the races in cleve.? how bout between the grey 93 383 car and the white and purple stang.?? didnt get to go to crossville sun. had to help pull the engine out of a friends 93z28. broke a piston. later

Hey Brent, glad you made it out Saturday night. As for crossville, you should have went, there were no cars in fuel injected naturally aspirated. You could have won the money. There were only two in FI assisted. Not a good turnout unfortunately, hopefully the next one will be better. See you saturday if you make it out.

 

brent , thanks for asking about crossville . you should have went . not any cars in your class as 406camaro said . i ran carb assisted with my mustang and got my butt handed to me . i made one good pass all day and it wasn't great 6.65@106 . i had all sorts of problems . i'll be out sat. in my car , got to see the two t/a's run . plus i want some of the gta too. if you can make it come back out sat.

Ya guys , I was in michigan for my brothers wedding so I missed it , I guess the heat scared alot of people off... If I could just sell this damn T56 I have I could get back on the road pretty soon !! Breat B , give me a shout sometime man !!

Yeah I would have liked to have come I want to how that track works for me.
I am doing some suspension changes now to the car nothing serious,Lower control arm relocating brackets and air bag.Hoping it will help it some. I may not get the relocating brackets on by this weekend but I will have the air bag in.
Next time I will make it Crossville for sure.
You all had some real nice cars but with no bottle I am afraid I may have been out classed BTW I did some work with edit I can do the 5 mph roll thing with no downshifting now I dont know if I will be out saturday or not I am suppossd to drive to Phenix to help with Randy's car some.

brent , glad to see you working on your car to go from a roll ! with the way your car runs i don't think you need a bottle ! but in chatt. it's spray or get sprayed ! i don't think you need it for marks car .

I might do that Eric . Im kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place right now , I may just be putting the Z back stock right now and buy a 90 lx to build , I found a pretty good deal on one with a real good motor and interior . the tranny needs shifter forks and the body is a little rough , But for 1,800 bucks I can't go wrong ..

sold the T56 just after we got off the phone Brent ! How fast can you have that cam out ??????

 

I got to find a place to change it out maybe next weekend.(But maybe not as it is the Bristol race.)

well, the low down for this past weekend in chatt. is that the mid 80s gta i was supposed to race didnt show. he came out with a friend in a red 02 z28 with a 150 shot. they said he made some excuses why he didnt bring his ride but i didnt really ask. own my way out ,i tried mine and it ran terrible. so i went home and changed the map sensor. old one had a bad crack in the top. fixed the problem and ran pretty strong. although it had been loading up before and smoked bad when i got on it. a couple of new cars came out. a black 98-00 t/a with a big convertor. and a 94-97 gt mustang with a gt40 crate motor with x302 heads. the t/a ran the 02z28. i think the t/a had him from the start but the 02 came around him on top end. later the 02z ran the gt40 mustang and i lined up beside them. i couldnt tell when they were going to hit it so they both got a car or two jump. i came around both easily. the stang had the z for a good while but couldnt hold him off on top end. so i got a two in one kill. later eric(nos86) ran the red mustang .the one that was their that night you were. but for some reason eric avoided all logic and decided to hit both stages of n2o right from the get go. and on bfg's. so he went up in smoke and then his car was popping. so the red 94-95stang got him. the guy still want run from a dead stop allthough from the 10-15 roll they ran from it didnt spin at all. i think they said he wanted to run you and i told them that you had your trans. problems fixed but had to go to phenix city. oh, also the red 02z ran a red c5 vette and beat it twice. he also ran the red stang but got beat probablly by about three cars. the 02z is on plain street tires but doesnt spin too bad. its a six speed by the way. later
