Yank PT4000 = totally streetable

At least in my opinion anyways.

I got my car running pretty decent today after disconnecting my O2's while I run around with open headers. Actually *very* decent, the car runs great.

I'm still doing Yank's recommended 150 mile break in, but the car feels amazing so far.. did a quick part throttle run to 80 and it was nice.

Anyways, I still have some partial forward creep at idle, which surprised me for a 4K stall. It doesn't feel like a slug at low RPM's like some people complain about w/ other converters, this thing is nice, and a quick flash immediately hits 4k.

I can't wait to finally get on it, I've got a feeling it's gonna make for one hell of a ride. Just need the exhaust on it and another 100 miles of break in.

If it really stalls at 4K and you find it acceptable on the street, you have a very different idea of acceptable than I do. But to each his own, I guess. Good luck with it.

Thats wierd about the 150 mile break in. I asked Fuddle about break in and they said there converters are ready to go out of the box. Mine flashes dead on 3K, is totally streetable as I can bearly tell a difference in it and the stock one. Very smooth all the way around. I have to say John really came through. Great stall.

Now Javier get those 150 miles by driving to my house and installing my 3.73s while I watch and then we can hit the track once youre done!! Deal?!?

Yeah, I was surprised myself, but after hearing how "loose" Vigilantes (my previous converter brand) are supposed to feel compared to a Yank, I guess it makes sense.

It definitely flashes right on the money at 4,000... no doubt about that.

If you were nearby I'd let ya test drive it to see what I mean.

hah! that's a bit of a drive

The 150 mile thing I found weird too, guess every tc manufacturer has their own thing. I know PI/Vigilante wants 50 lock/unlock cycles before it's broken in, and Yank wants a different break in.. who knows. I think the only purpose for the break in is the lockup clutch.
