Question Willa T-5 grenade behind a 400CID???

I have heard that the good ol T-5 tranny used in the 80's camaros is not strong enough to be practical behind a 400. But others seem to think that it would be fine.

Does anyone out there have any experience (good / bad) that could help me out??

Or even any technical specs as to what kind of torque they are rated for???

I really don't want to find out the hard way. . .

I doubt it would be ok. It might last a little while if you absolutely baby it. BUt if you have the torque of a 400 to play with who wants to be THAT responsible. ANd if you get even the slightest bit hairy with it, the T5 will grenade.
