I would like to keep my T-5 in my 92Z, but with the power i plan on making i am going to need to get a rebuild........with a strong rebuild will this tranny still have problems???? The 6th gear issue with the T-56 means nothing to me cause this is going to be a trailer queen. What is the main difference in these 2 tranny's that makes the T-56 so much stronger....is it things that could be done to my T-5? Any info is appreciated..........

 

how much power are you planning on running through it? gonna run the car at the strip much? the reason i ask is cause i know this guy w/ a formula who has a 440hp 350 in front of his T-5 and its holdin up. fastest ive ever seen/heard of a T-5 car goin is low 12's though so if you are aimin for anywhere in the 11's or lower i'd go T56
