Will the Z06 flywheel work on my Z?

At gmpartsdirect.com, the clutch package for the Z06 comes with a flywheel for like 300 bucks. will this flywheel work on my camaro? how strong is the Z06 clutch in relation to a stock camaro clutch, a star spec 2 or, mcleod clutch?

I think they're good up to about 450 hp. A clutch will only last as long as you want it to. If you go to the track a lot and have an agressive driving style, don't expect any clutch to last all that long. Personally, based on what I've read on the boards/mag. articles, I'd say you can't go wrong with SPEC or McLeod.

z06 vs spec s2

The fact the z06 comes with a flywheel makes this option a possibility for me. I'd rather get the spec stage II cuz it holds more power. I have 324rwtq so a z06 would do mine at this point. I have a 75 shot so I imagine my tq will shoot up to 400 maybe. How much does tq does the z06 clutch hold?

The Z06 cluth is good to like 400-450 flywheel hp. My 01 Z has a Z06 clutch/slave cylinder in it and i can make it slip with the juice. Not so much when i spray 75, but it will when its hot. 125hp and a good shift will make it slip too. therealmagyver, your torque will increase more than 75ftlb too. nitrous increases torque more than hp, especially at lower rpm's (like around 3-4k). As you rev it higher the torque decreases. Id go mcleod all the way. stage 4 is where im headed...

I was just about to place the order than I got notified via mail that I have a reply to this post. DAM!!! The z06 price with flywheel you can't beat. So 75 shot will slip if it's hot?

Ive got quite a few bolt-ons, some arent listed. The 75 shot will be cool for a long time im sure. when i sprayed 125 i could make it slip, i just had to let the clutch grab, and then i could spray, but when you spray before the clutch actually grips it would sometimes slip. the Z06 clutch is a good buy, id say go for it unless you plan on making more than 450 rwhp. I figure i was close to making 475 rwhp with 125 shot. go with the z-06, you can always upgrade later on.
