No it won't work, and there is a whole lot that would need to be done.. look halfway down this page I just answered this same question a few hours ago...

the crankshaft hub is different spacing, i put a turbo 350(same converter hub size and spacing on a lt1 4l60e or 700) on my 5.3 truck engine(same set up as an ls1) and needed a spacer/adapter from huges performance to make the converter fit to the crank hub
