Will I have enough gear??? th350 guys

Hey all,

I am currently in the middle of my th350 swap and I am hoping I will have enough gear for the 1/4 mile. I have a 26" tall tire, 3.73, th350 And I will spin it max 7000 rpm. Im estimating on mid 130 traps to 140. What will be my max speed @ 7000rpm? I might have to go with some 3.42s???

It will probably be enough gear, but without knowing traps there is no wayl to tell for sure. I am running 3.42's with a 27" tire and trap low 140's at about 6,500rpm. It's with a TH400, but of course top gear is 1:1 with the 400 as well as the 350.

Part of it depends on your torque convertor's slippage. I ran a 4.10 rear, 26" tires, TH400 w/3500 stall and bounced off the 6500rpm rev limiter at 116mph. We calculated about a 6-7% slip in the TC. Now, I have a 3.70 gear, 28" tires and am getting the tranny and Tc rebuilt for this season.
