Will the 4L60E fit underneath car?

I've removed the tranny via the front before, when rebuilding the engine, however.... just wondering, will I be able to just remove the tranny with just ramps underneath the front wheels? (as in, will the car be high enough with just that) Or am I smoking crack?

It's time for a tranny rebuild and I'd like to do the removal / install myself, and NOT have to take it out the hard way.

Thanks,
J

My tranny is out now, to be installed after the rebuild next week. I have it up on jackstands, front and rear, and in the front, the tires are about 1/2" above my rhino ramps. The rear is a couple of inches lower, and I was able to slide it in and out the passenger side, by tipping it forward so the bellhousing would clear. It was close, but made it. It would have been easier on the drivers side becaue the exhaust isn't in the way. I don't think it would of made it through the front on the car. Good luck!

I think I measured about 23" of clearance at the jacking points. Slid right out.
