Wierd Sound! :(! Sounds bad

So I am driving, and I turn off the music let off the gas and hear a knocking sound coming from the rear left. It is in synch with the turning of the wheels. The faster you drive lets say you are going 70 it makes a thump-thump-thump-thump sound.

If you are driving 35 its thump-----thump-----thump-----thump.

Any ideas what it could be? And prices? It sounds bad thats for sure.

Bump, is this not the right forum.

I can't figure it out, maybe it is a bearing in the back left wheel well?

Can you feel anything with the sound? If you feel anything, it opens up a lot of options. If not, it narrows it down quite a bit. Best bet is to get under it and look .

To help diagnose the rear end noise, put the rear end up on jack stands and turn the rear wheels by hand. Can you replicate the noise/sound you are hearing and pinpoint the location? There are many possibilities.

Thanks Kenny, I wasn't really sure how to diagnose the problem. I looked around the wheel well and nothing looked out of place. Im going to try what you said and post the results.
