For better control of your a4.

 

No, an aftermarket transmission controller would give you that. These paddles are essentially worthless without one, unless you're just too lazy to reach down and move the shifter, or you just like the way they look/feel/etc.

 

One would assume that you would make it work when buying one. Clearly intent is for shift control.

Why? Coolness factor. I might get a 6L80 or 6L50 as well so I would love to have a set. Or I might go T56...who knows. just assessing all my options.

 

My vote is for T56. If you insist on a paddle-shifted automatic, don't bother doing it to a 4L60E.
