My 93 z28

I have a 93 z28 with an auto tranny. I read somewhere that it is just the 4l60 not the 4l60e. So my next question is can i still program new shiftpoints in it and how different is a shiftkit for it. Also if it is not an electronic shift can i swap the tranny for a standard without messing with the computer.

The 93 computer (ECM) only controls the engine, unlike the 94 and up powertrain contol modules (PCM).

If you swap in a T56 you will have to address any differences in the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) pulses per mile, but you may be able to do that externally from the ECM on the 93's.
