Whining while turning 180º

Whining while turning 180º

I have a sort of moaning/whining coming from the 12 bolt on slow 180º turns. As far as I know, its got a posi. It didn't look like a spool when I had the rear cover off. I'd hope that strange got the backlash correct when they put the gears in. I didn't add any gm posi fluid, just royal purple gear oil. And it has probably 5,000 miles max on the rear.

No need to change the oil, just add one bottle of the GM limited slip stuff.

That's what I thought it was. I'll still have to drain a little to compensate for the extra fluid.

If you had a spool, you couldn't do a 180-deg turn without one tire slipping and jerking all the way around the turn.
