What STR for daily driver?

I am thinking of getting a Midwest stall and the STR has come up. There are a few I am looking at from private parties and I think they have different STR's. I know that a higher STR is going to hit the tires harder, but for my mainly street LT1 what size STR should I get?

I mention Midwest since it seems STR vary from company to company. So how high is the highest I can go reasonably. One has a 2.5, the other I am checking into, but I want something I can drive in the rain since its my daily driver. Those with Midwests let me know. I'll be calling Midwest tomorrow also and see what they think or can say about it.

I dont want the converter to become a burden on daily driving my car, but I do want it do it purpose and launch my car nicely. Mods are in sig, the tires grip nicely now, but I am sure that will become a thing of the past after the TC.

Thanks.

Go as high as you can afford.

STR is only going to come into play when you mash it and really flash the convertor hard.

So driving in rain, unless you are crazy, a high STR shouldnt give you any problems. IMO a stalled car is easier to drive since it slips more down low.

Alright, thank you very much, I think in the 2800 size they only STR them at 2.5 unless specifically ordered different. I did hear about the added slip being easier to drive in some conditions, almost like traction control.
