Too much for what purpose? What rpm do you make max power at? Purely optimizing 1/4m times requires a stall not too far off peak hp. Quite unacceptable for the street due to heat, noise, wear on the motor, mileage, sluggish throttle response under light load, etc. Also, you are drastically changing your low gear ratio, 3.06 to 2.52. So you may not launch nearly as hard (if it hooks up) with the TH350 unless you go BIG on the stall speed.

Rich

Just to elaborate a little. For example.

500ft-lb * 3.06 * 3.73 = 5,707ft-lb at the axles (not including the converter)
500 * 2.52 * 3.73 = 4,700ft-lb

The difference is ~1,000ft-lb!
