i cant seem to find the rpm calculator that is on this forum.

im trying to decide between 373s and 410s.

what kind of RPMs are you guys seeing at 70-75mph in 6th?

thanks,
Jeremy

oh, and can anyone recommend some gears that aren't going to give me a headache on a 30min drive?

thanks guys. i used the calculator and it said i should be at 2005, so that is real close to what rudedog is getting.

im just kinda tripping out on it because that calculator also says that i should be at 1677 at 75mph. but im actually seeing a tad over 1800 at 75.

im using 25.7"tires, .5 tranny gear ratio, and a final drive ratio of 3.42 of course.

i dont know why my stock gearing isnt matching up with the calculator. but im sure the 4.10s would be good for me. im sure ill see around 2K at 75 like rudedog, which isnt bad at all for 410s.....

How are you measuring the RPM? Stock tach typically reads 100-200RPM higher than actual. You need to read the RPM off a scanner. Even that can have an error of +/-12.5RPM, since the PCM reads RPM in 25RPM increments.

Minor difference, but M/T shows the 315/35-17 ET Street Drag Radial II as 25.8"

with 275/45/17's and 4.11 rear gear mine turns between about 1900-2100rpm at 70. which as injuneer stated probably points to the stock tach being off a bit. gears and tire size corrected through a madz tune of course.
