What is involved with putting a LS1 T56 into a LT1 car?
I have a 95 Z28 with A4 and am looking to do a T56 conversion. I can get a pretty damn good deal on a LS1 trans... Since I am starting from scratch either way, what would I need to do different to make it work?

Too much. The hydraulics are completely different, the input shafts are a different length, and the throwout bearing/slave cylinder are integral on LS1 cars. you will spend more money (ALOT more) and time converting an LS1 T56 than just buying an LT1 T56 right off the bat.

Yeah, I don't see too much difficulty in doing a standard LT1 t56 swap. Except finding the trans for a steal. HOWEVER... Jimmy John's is damn good food. I eat it too much. Especially when I am in lansing and they are open to some awful o'clock in the morning!

Tell me about it! Thats where I first had Jimmy Johns, up at State. It was in 99 or 00 I believe. When they opened one at 6 and Newburgh by my apartment, I did cartwheels! They're all over now, Livonia, Canton, Ann Arbor.. As far as the swap goes, its not as straightforward as people might think, but at the same time if you have all the tools and the right equipment its not too bad. Cutting the hole in the trans tunnel is hella scary though!
