A few things can cause the case to crack like that. Were all your torque converter bolts tight? Was your transmission mount in good condition?

I have seen them break like that from hooking up hard when not using subframe connectors. Is this a T top car? The bodys on f-bods will twist and t top cars get really out of shape. Yes you will need a new convertor as yours you can bet is damaged. Steven

you think ill be alright with a torque flush? i know a guy that will flush it for $20... yes its a T-top car...but I really dont think Ive caused it from hooking up. I dont beat on the car ALL the time, and my t-tops fit perfect

You can't truly flush a converter, only pour fluid in and let it drain back ou.

When the bellhousing broke you put alot of stress on your stator input on the convertor yours is most likely a doorstop now.........GET A NEW ONE OR have yours rebuilt. Steven

yes, you can, they put it in a special lathe that cuts the weld seam, then they can replace anything inside(as needed), this is when you can get it restalled as well, then they weld the seam back up
