what is going on with this 60e

to start things off, i beat the snot out of my car and tranny. i understand stuff is going to break, but i dont understand automatics.. the car will go and is drivable but..

the 1-2 shift sounds like my cars falling apart. loud thump. noticed a vibration when it shifts as well..

at wot it wont shift to 2nd.. kinda free revs but will not hit limiter

when cruising if i keep it in 1, 2 or D, as soon as i let of the gas it will literally drop to an idle, as if i pushed in the clutch. no engine braking.

OD still seems normal.. however.. if im in D at 2000, pop it into OD, it will thump and literally rock the car back and forth.

i need a manual valvebody, but could shifting through the gears and downshifting on the fly cause this? thanks for any input, chris

Sounds like you used it up and there's very little life left in it. To late now but, manually down shifting the trans is a big no-no.

i figured.. is it hard on it with a manual valvebody? or is any built transmission tough enough to take that?

You can get it with a fmvb and we have them running in the low tens the FMVB adds 399 dollars to the price .
