While I have not tried a lock up switch in a 4L60E I had one in my Buick GN with the 200-4R...I got 2 tenths and 2 mph turning on the switch at the top of first gear...ran it this way for 4 years and never hurt anything...I only used the lock up switch at the track...I was looking to do this to my 95 formula as well...I have heard that repeated use causes excess heat and premature clutch disk wear in the converter, which is why I used it sparingly..I hear that a multi-disk lock up clutch is the way to go here...hope this helps a little...

P.S. A buddy of mine has a lock up switch on his 4L60E in his 430rwhp Corvette, but has yet to run with it off...I'll pester him to not use it once...
