what code to look for tranny

ok guys i want to find out what tranny what code do i look for do i look for gu4 or gu5 or m28 or m29 i have found m29 and gu5 code in the gb


oh yeah its a 93 z

M29 is a 6 speed with 3.23 gears. Has a 2.97 first gear IIRC.

i know all that i just dont know what one i have. I bought the car with the 4.10s in it so i dont know what came out.

He just told you which trans you have, including the gear that was installed at the factory.

i thought he was just telling me info on the m29 tranny not that i had it. Thanks man

If you found M29 in the glove box sticker, then it means you have it. They don't put all the tranny options on the same sticker, only the option that came on that car. Same goes for every other three digit number/letter on that sticker.
