What is the best wrench to use on bellhousing bolts?

I removed the trans once before and found those bolts above the dowel pins to be a bear to do. Does anyone have a suggestion for me as to what type of wrench works best in that area? Unfortunately, my trans has the famous 2-3 delay now and needs a rebuild or swap to a 350 turbo. If anyone has any tips about the swap, it would be great to know any.

I lowered the trans and used a 32" extension with a 9/16 swivel.

Yep, tilt the engine/tranny backwards and use a long extension (or two) with a "wobbler".
