What bearing is this?

Im putting in my new spec clutch and it seems as though a bearing has broken and the outer shell of it is still stuck and wedged into wear the shaft from the trans goes through the clutch and flywheel. What bearing is that way inside that the tip of the shaft rests in? I think spec gave me a new one anyway but i just wanna make sure thats what its used for. As of now it doesn't fit but it seems its because that outer shell that broke when i was taking the trans out is stopping it.

any tips on getting this shell out? I'm only breaking off bits of it, i can't get underneat it with a screwdriver. I've heated it up with a torch but i didn't wanna get it to hot because of the seals.

They have special pullers for them. Or you can try packing grease or wet toilet paper in there and pounding it out with a socket extension.

I had one pilot bearing that I had to carefully chip at with a hammer and small chisel before it was loose enough for the puller to get it. Soak it in penetrating oil overnight.
