What gears come in the V6 cars? Are there any difference in the rears between v6 and v8's?

They are the same 10-bolt ratio used in all V6 & v8 cars. Only ratios available are 2:73, 3:23 & 3:42.

My part code is GU6, thats the 3.42 correct, if so, would going to 3.73. probably with posi, make enough difference to be worth it, im not worried about losing too much high end speed, about 95 is all i ever do, but i'd love to be able to launch a little harder.

Two significant differences between the V6 and V8 rear axle assemblies is the fact that the V8 came standard with a limited slip differential and disc brakes. The V6 did not come standard with those, but they were options. You need to look for the limited slip differential code (G80 or 81???). Putting 3.73's in an open differential may just make it easier to sit and spin one wheel.
