uh uh uh another A4 bites the dust

Ok well i have concluded officially my tranny is gone

When you are on WOT it slips at the top of the gear and then slingshots you threw the next one (im sure many of you know about this)

So i was like, alright i need this fixed, but i gotta save up some money. So i didn't get on WOT anymore

Now it slips starting in gear, (maybe converter ?), I press the throttle and it revs a little bit and then catchs and goes, does it from a roll sometimes too

I am planning on buying a performance rebuild kit, my question is, will this be enough to fix all of this or will i need more???

any help will be appreciated

you may want to search this comes up at least once a week, I wouldn't recommend building the tranny yourself, there are good builders on here that build these to handle a good deal of abuse.. and the price is damn good too
look at the link in my sig for more details.

We're in Elkton, Md. It would cost you right around $70 (each way) to ship your transmission to us, via UPS.

Do you race the car, or is it primarilly a street driver?

It is primarily a street driver

But im 17, so its my ride to school and everywhere else, but i do, do alot of street racing ( i know its bad don't flame) from a roll and sometimes a stop, so i want something that can hold up to that, i don't do alot of hard *** launches either

Thanks

Re: uh uh uh another A4 bites the dust

If you go with the "race" rebuild, it'll take whatever you want to put it through. In your case, you could probably get away with our "performance" rebuild, though.

If you've checked our site, you'll notice there's only a $200 difference between the 2. The "race" rebuild is actually a better bargain for what's included.

Once we have the transmission in our shop, it usually takes a week for turn around time.

Re: uh uh uh another A4 bites the dust

Hey Sceanzo,

sorry to bring up an old post, just wondering how the tranny made out. Also, I've posted this elsewhere, I'm looking for someone in or around g'boro that I can meet up w/ to test a datacable I just purchased and ecm. It would involve me plugging up my laptop, checking to see if i can get communication w/ your ecm, copying your stock program to make sure that tx/rx is working correctly, possibly downloading a custom tune for you if you want to change anything, then me hooking up the ecm I have to see if I can communicate w/ it if the cable works. If I break anything I will replace it.

I know this sounds like a messed up deal, but I need a known good variable and right now the project I have is still iffy, not sure if the wiring is correct, so I'm trying to remove as many issues as I can.

Thanks,

Jeff
