I had the transmission in my 96 Z28 rebuilt with a 2800 stall and transgo shift kit among other things. I might be buying a 99 Trans Am. What all is involved in swapping transmissions between the two both are automatic?

 

I know you will need a different converter, I believe the bellhousings are different as well, and I don't think you can swap the two.

 

The case, input shaft, and converter are all different between those 2 years.
