Question Transmission reccomendations

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but i will give it a shot. I have a 95 z28 with an lt1 and 4l60e tranny. I just purchased the car a few weeks ago and i think i got ripped off. It has a 2800 stahl converter. It shifts hard into second which i know can be normal, but when the car is warm if i put it to the floor it will not shift from 1st to 2nd it just red lines. As soon as i let off the gas it shifts. 85% throttle everything is great but as soon as i hammer on it it does that and will slip the higher gears. I really would like to do a t56 conversion but havent found the right package. Can anyone help me out??
What could be wrong?
Where i can buy a conversion?
Where i can get a reputable performance built 4l60e?

Thanks

I'd take it to a couple different transmission shops to get opinions / inspections..

D&D performance might have a conversion set up..
I'd do a search on the Conversion... My brother did it to his Iroc. T56 put in place of his 700R4

Do a search for "stall wall". Most things I've read say it isn't a problem until 3000 stall converters but your symptoms sound like that's what it is.

As mentioned above, it might just be in the tune. I would check that out first before spending money you might not have to.

Yes I would certainly verify the comand for the shift is being given first. With a stall generally above 3000 but with higher ratio cars can be lower you can get into a situation where while the trans is fine the PCM is confused by the stall converter slip.

If you have a performance car then you need a trans built for performance use by people who are familiar with them and know the ins and outs.
