Looks to be the "right" one.... Just don't install it with the preload plate (you'll see what I mean when you get it)

yep dont use the pre-load plate. Otherwise youll get a lot of vibrations.

ok I got it today, I dont see anything that screams preload plate though. All I got is this

mount
2 7/16"-14X1 1/2" Stud
2 7/16"-14 NUT
2 7/16" Lock Washer
2 7/16" Flat Washer

So is the preload plate even here?

Yup, shoulda bought a factory LS1 mount . I couldn't take the vibes that the ES poly mount transmitted through the car, so I'm still on my stock mount, with ~60k on it, drag raced lots and road raced quite a few times as well . It's significantly better than the factory LT1 mount, but it's softer than the poly mount, so it doesn't rattle your fillings out .

it must just be certain people but i dont get many if any vibrations from my poly mount. ...... it does jerk a little harder now through the shifts but other than that it doesnt bother me. Plus the ES poly mount is the one that u shouldnt use the pre-load plate on, with that plate on it vibrated really hard.

FWIW, I believe that is due to throwing off your pinion angle and such.

I guess it is my mount, car has not flown apart yet. The vibes can get annoying, I notice on hot days its not bad though.

I just installed mine today. It does vibrate alittle, but mine isnt a daily driver, so i dont really care. I didnt really see that the plate was a seperate piece. I thought it was molded into the poly. I didnt think to take it off.

Another point worth mentioning is that I have a steel driveshaft (as many others do) and they are more prone/famous for vibrating, compared to the aluminum ones which are lighter, and seem to have less balance issues.

And for me, it didn't matter whether I had that extra plate in with the ES mount or not ... it was equally as bad either way .
